"Mr. Peterson."

"I'm having a deuce of a time getting that
word 'limited' out of the investigations of the
Grand Mesa Project. That's the only project
that has that word 'limited' in front of it and
I wonder what. is the reason for. this."

"Well, Pete, I think the reason for it is
just the same as we have discussed here pre-
viously. The funds that we have this year are
the funds that came from the State Water Board
and from the Grand Mesa conservancy District
and, as near as I recall, they are in the amount
of $16,000. We have money in the budget thi~
year and I think possibly as a result of the
cooperation and the support that we received
from this Board and from the Grand Mesa District
we have substantial funds to include that in-
vestigation, to initiate it on other than a
limited basis as soon as we get our appropria-
tions for this coming year."

"What is that amount?"

"I don't recall that exact amount, Pete,
but it's over $100,000."

"I've got it here some place, Bob."

"So I think we can erase the word 'limited'
from that investigation if we get the funds that
we have requested."

"Bob, we are going to have to carry water in
buckets from the eastern slope of Colorado over
there in order to keep th<> fish swimming in
Surface Creek this year."

"Pete, it does look like a quite drastic
year in many respects. It looks like in cer-
tain areas it might approach '34. We have a
few areas that are pretty good. I think the
best areas are the Gunnison area and the Uncom-
pahgre but many of these other areas are very
