"vJhat happened to Representative Gossard's
bill with its $40,000?"

"It didn't pass, it didn't come out of
Committee."

"It didn't pass?"

"No.1I

"There were other bills, one allowing the
Game and Fish Department to adjudicate water.
Neither of those bills got out of the House. I
think there was a resolution passed, however,
directing the Water Conservation Board and the
Game and Fish Department to study the possibility
of proposing legislation for fish flows. That
resolution did pass the House and it is encumbent
upon the Water Board to commence that study."

"Is this included in the Special Investiga-
tive Studies budget?"

"They didn't give us. any money for it."

"They didn't allow any money on that reso-
lution?"

"Actually this type of study would be con-
ducted as part of our regular staff operations."

"Our member, Mr. Miller, came in after this
discussion started. He might wish to say some-
thing on the Two Forks."

"Mr. Miller, to bring you up to date, the
budget has been cut and the staff is now recom-
mending, and we are considering, cutting out the
new starts on the Upper South Platte, the Two
Forks investigations, and on the Upper Gunnison.
Knowing you have some interest in this you may
want to comment."
