Due to requests from the Clear Creek Water Users
Alliance and the City of Idaho Springs, the Board deferred action
on the Clear Creek streams until certain studies could be
completed by the interested parties and reviewed by the Board's
staff.

Meetings were subsequently held between the Board staff,
Board member David Robbins, and the interested parties. As a
result of these meetings, the number of streams of concern was
narrowed down to Leavenworth Creek and two segments on the
mainstem of Chicago Creek. The remaining streams within the Clear
Creek basin from the January, 1984, Board meeting were given final
approval by the Board at the July 13, 1984, meeting.

Leavenworth Creek

The Adolph Coors Company is the owner of conditional storage
decrees in the upper reaches of Leavenworth Creek, namely for
Waldorf and Frost Reservoirs (Case No. W-ls2-73). Waldorf
Reservoir, which would be located east of the former town site of
Waldorf, has a decreed capacity of 400 acre-feet. Frost
Reservoir, which would be located approximately 2 miles upstream
from Waldorf, also has a decreed capacity of 400 acre-feet.
Conditional decrees for the reservoirs were obtained in 1966 and

718
lev/crk
