Phase m - Public Review and Comment/Board Action <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />There are no stream segments in Water Division 5 ready for Phase 3 at this time. <br /> <br />Phase IT - StatTReview and Processing <br /> <br />Staff is currently processing 2 stream segment$ in Water Division 5. These segments are King <br />and Red Dirt Creeks. The methodology being considered is the R2X Methodology with some <br />modifications to the criteria used for trout. All Division 5 - Phase 2 segments are assumed to be <br />based on a cold water fishery using the R2X Methodology. <br /> <br />Phase I - Coordination, Planning and Field Data Collection <br /> <br />Approximately 66 additional stream segments have been identified for field data collection in <br />Water Division S. Field data regarding all of tbe Phase I segments is anticipated to be collected <br />using the R2X Methodology and standard fish $ampling techniques.. The natural environment to <br />be preserved is generally a cold water fishery. <br /> <br />Water Division 6 <br /> <br />Approximately 57 potential new instream flow segments have been identified in Water Division 6. <br />These segments have been placed in the following Phase classifications. <br /> <br />Phase m - Public Review and Comment/Board Action <br /> <br />There are no stream segments in Water Division 6 ready for Phase 3 at this time. <br /> <br />Phase IT - StatT Review and Processing <br /> <br />Staff is currently processing approximately 6 $tream segments in Water Division 6. Streams <br />segments of special significance include streams located in the Piceance Creek Watershed and the <br />Yampa River. Staff has received written comments from Shell Frontier Oil & Gas, Inc. and the <br />Rio Blanco Oil Shale Company regarding these Piceance Creek segments. Staff was also <br />contacted by the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District (UYWCD) and asked to delay action <br />on the Yampa River Instream Flow Segments until more data and additional water availability <br />analysis can be completed. Staff has collected additional field data regarding stream flows on the <br />Yampa River below Stagecoach Reservoir. All other Division 6 - Phase 2 segments are assumed <br />to be based on a cold water fishery using the R2X Methodology. <br /> <br />Phase I - Coordination, Planning and Field Data Collection <br /> <br />9 <br />
