I

I

Mr. Sparks: In most recent years then you exhaust that storage?

Mr. Roqers: Yes, we don't draw Ground Hog completely down. We have
to leave some in there to protect the fish, and so on. But generally
in most years, they are drawn down to a point where there is"very
littloleft in there.

Mr. Kroeqer: Mr. Rogers, to elaborate a little more, you said that
it was rather severe last summer. Now if my information is correct,
didn't your water supply get reduced to about 25%?

Mr. Roqers: It did early in the year. I would say the last of June.

Mr. Kroeqer: And then at a later date, wasn't that 25% alternated on
an every other week, or some kind of a basis, so you essentially end
up with about a 1/8 water supply?

Mr. Roqers: That's right. In August they alternated this one week
in the Valley and the next week it was in the lower end. I don't
think it was even that much. It is just a domestic supply, that is
all it is. Very short.

Mr. Stapleton: Is there any other member of the board that would like
to address questions to this project? Are there any members in the
audience? If not, we will recess and reconvene at 1:15 P.M. That
will hurry everyone, but we want to proceed further. The board members
are going over to the Quorum.

The meeting recessed for lunch at 12:00 P.M. and reconvened at
1:25 P.M. with Chairman Stapleton presiding.

Mr. Stapleton: We will
with the presentations.
Mesa case.

now call this meeting to order and continue
Carton Meek will be presenting the Fruitland

Mr. Meek: Mr. Stapleton, gentlemen of the board, I am Carton Meek,
President of the Fruitland Mesa Water Conservancy District. We have
one other member of our board here. He is Wendell Shaw, Secretary-
Treasurer. Four members of the Fruitland Irrigation Company, the
largest ditch company within our district, are here.
