<br />This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, located 11 miles
<br />northwest of Wiggins in Weld County, The State Engineer has placed a storage
<br />restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed. The Riverside Reservoir and Land
<br />Company contracted with W,W, Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction plans and
<br />specifications, The State Engineer's office and the Riverside Reservoir and Land Company are currently
<br />evaluating alternate spillway sizes. Construction of the project is currently on-hold, pending resolution of the
<br />spillway size and downstream property issues.

<br />only one half of its allocated water. The project involves the construction of a new concrete inlet structure at
<br />the UP Railroad crossing, the placement of2,500 linear feet oflow head pipe, and the replacement of 10,000
<br />linear feet of existing concrete ditch with high head pipe, The project is currently being designed by the
<br />NRCS Grand Junction Office, and is tentatively scheduled to be constructed in the Spring of 2003,
