<br />4) Consent A!!enda Item 2.c <br />Floodplain Resolution Number: FPR 05-583 <br />Affected Community: Fort Collins and Larimer County <br />Name of study to be formally acted on: "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Kinney Creek, Fonder Draw, <br />and Tributaries" dated April 2004. <br />Studied streams: Boxelder Creek and Cooper Slough <br />Technical Issues: The City of Fort Collins contracted with Anderson Consulting Engineers to complete <br />revised floodplain information for Boxelder Creek and Cooper Slough based on updated (increased) <br />rainfall information that was adopted by the City. The City is in the process of requesting a Letter of Map <br />Revision (LOMR) from FEMA at this time, <br />Community response: Several meetings and conversations have taken place with City staff and with <br />local officials in nearby communities that are potentially impacted by the study results. Due to the <br />complex nature of the study, both technically and politically, it was deemed prudent to delay CWCB <br />action on this item. <br />Staff findings: CWeB staffhas determined that additional review and discussions are necessary prior to <br />making final conclusions regarding this study. Staff plans to table the issue for now and will bring it back <br />to the Board likely at the March 2005 meeting, <br />Staff recommendation: Staff recommends that this item be tabled and not acted on by the Board at this <br />time. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION SUMMARY <br />Resolution Number 05-581: <br />Staff recommends that the Board: I) designate and approve the 100-year detailed and approximate <br />floodplain information contained in said report for the Town of Meeker, and 2) authorize staff to prepare <br />a floodplain resolution to be signed by the Director and transmitted to the Town and to FEMA. This <br />action is recommended in order to meet statutory requirements. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution Number 04-582: <br />Staff recommends that the Board: I) designate and approve the approximate IOO-year floodplain <br />information contained in said report for the Town of Saguache, and 2) authorize staff to prepare a <br />floodplain resolution to be signed by the Director and transmitted to the Town and to FEMA.
