Excess flows of Little Snake River, Slater and Savery <br />Creeks would be impounded by potential Savery and <br />Pot Hook Reservoirs. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />c. 51,000 acre-feet of water would be delivered to <br />32,000 acres of land in the two states. <br /> <br />d. West Divide Proiect <br /> <br />a. Advance planning studies of this project are currently <br />under way. Public meetings will be held at an early date to <br />solicit input on project alternatives. <br /> <br />c. Need for somewhat extensive reformulation studies was <br />brought about largely because of known opposition to <br />potential Placita Reservoir even though local and <br />state support has been generally good. The plan on <br />which project was authorized will be reformulated to <br />include all of the authorized purposes but on a some- <br />what different scope and scale of development. <br /> <br />8. Colorado River Water Quality Improvement Pro~ram <br /> <br />a. Public Law 93-320 Colorado River Basin Salinity Control <br />Act authorized four units as initial stage of salinity <br />control program. lncluded were Grand Valley system <br />improvements unit and Paradox Valley unit. Funds <br />totaling $1,300,000 were approved on October 18, 1974, <br />to conduct definite plan studies in FY 1975 with <br />$600,000 for Grand Valley and $700,000 for the <br />Paradox Unit. <br /> <br />b. Grand Valley Systems Improvements <br />(1) Salinity Act authorized improvements of 700 miles <br /> <br />-14- <br />
