Three Forks Reservoi r is a feature of the proposed <br />Little Snake River Water Management Project (LSRWMP) of the State <br />of "lyoming. <br /> <br />This memo briefly describes the legislative history of the <br />Little Snake River Water Management Project, the physical fea- <br />tures of the project, the applicable provisions of the Upoer <br />Colorado River Basin Compact, and the project's current status. <br /> <br />Legislative History <br /> <br />The 1979 Session of the Wyoming legislature created the <br />Wyoming Water Development Commission. The Commission has the <br />dual role of planning for the use of Wyoming's water on a <br />basinwide, regional or statewide basis and of planning for the <br />development of specific individual projects. The legislature <br />directed the Commission to prepare a water management study of <br />the Little Snake River Basin. The legislature also authorized <br />"Stage II" of the Cheyenne Water Project and "Stage III" of the <br />LSRWMP. <br /> <br />D3-ed <br />LSR <br /> <br />Robert A. Jackson. Chairman. John R.
