No. 186 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />April 1, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A floodplain information report entitled "Flood- <br />plain Information Report, Lefthand Creek, Volume 1 (Mouth to <br />Foothills Highway), Boulder County and City of Longmont," dated <br />December, 1981, has been prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc., <br />from information provided by the u.S. Army Corps of Engineers, <br />Omaha District 1 at the request of the City of Longmont 1 Boulder <br />CountYl and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study areal and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set-forth in the aforesaid report 1 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefroml and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or bas in only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board 1 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation.Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictionsl and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br />
