Works in concert with the board and staff members to establish a strategic direction of the <br />organization. <br />2. Implements new programs including development of education and outreach materials. <br />3, Regularly consults and brings together Colorado's water education organizations regarding <br />coordinating across program areas to strengthen the work of each and to gain greater impact from <br />better communication and sharing ofresOlJJ:ces and ideas. <br />4. Implements a program to fund water education activities, ensuring an unbiased and fair approach, <br />5. Organize and conduct water related education programs for target audiences-('e.g. legislators, <br />leadership program, media) <br /> <br />C. Public Relations <br />1. Promotes awareness and visibility ofCAWE's vision and direction. <br />2, Networking with groups working in water resources on common interests or for formal <br />partnerships; . <br />3. Maintaining positive relations with other organizations and the media, and serving as an <br />organizational spokesperson, <br />4. Assist in the development, production aiJd marketing of a CA WE periodical publication. Works <br />on other CA WE water education tools S\lch as brochures, newspaper or magazine articles, and <br />radio or television appearances. <br />5, Routine travel around the State is requirFd. <br /> <br />D. Manage Office and Supervise Staff <br />1, Supervise staffon an ongoing basis, One administrative assistant is currently being hired. <br />2. Develop and implement personnel proc~dures manual. <br />3. Conducting annual performance evaluations of program coordinators and all other permanent <br />staff; , <br />4. Conducting the hiring and firing proce~s of employees. <br /> <br />Compensation The Executive Director position is a full time, salaried position.
