<br />. <br /> <br />tp <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />the "Mineral Lands Leasing Act of 1920") (30 D.S.C. 181 et <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />seq.); and <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />(3) the Act entitled "An Act to provide for the disposal <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />of materials on public lands of the Dnited States", approved <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />July 31, 1947 (commonly known as the "Materials Act of <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />1947") (30 D.S.C. 601 et seq.). <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />(d) WILD AND SCENIC RIvERS.--No land or water within the <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />Area shall be designated as a wild, scenic, or recreational river under <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />section 2 of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (16 D.S.C. 1273). <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />SEC. 12, ACQUISITION OF NON-FEDERAL LANDS. <br /> <br />1 1 <br /> <br />(a) ACQUISITION OF LANDS NOT CURRENTLY IN FEDERAL <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />OWNERSHIP.--The Secretary, with the cooperation and assistance of <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />the Commission, may acquire by purchase, exchange, or donation all <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />or any part of the land and interests in land, including conservation <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />easements, within the Area that are not in federal ownership, except <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />that no land or interests in real property shall be acquired by <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />condemnation. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />(b) PUBLIC LANDS.--Any land or interest acquired by the <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Secretary under this section shall become public lands (as defined in <br /> <br />DRAFT. April 27, 2001 <br />
