<br />~ <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />(a) EXISTING RESERVATIONS.--All reservations of public <br /> <br />2 lands within the Area for Federal purposes that have been made by <br /> <br />3 Act of Congress or Executive order prior to the date of enactment of <br /> <br />4 this Act are revoked. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />(b) PUBLIC LANDS.--Subject to subsection ( c), public lands <br /> <br />6 within the Area that were subject to a reservation described in <br /> <br />7 subsection (a)-- <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />(1) are restored to the status of public lands (as <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />defined in section 103 of the Federal Land Policy and <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Management Act of 1976 (43 V.S.C. 1702); and <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />(2) shall be administered in accordance with the Area <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />Management Plan adopted under section 9. <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />(c) WITHDRAWAL.--AII public lands within the Area are <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />withdrawn from settlement, sale, location, entry, or disposal under <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />the laws applicable to public land, incIuding-- <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />(1) (A) sections 910, 2318 through 2340, and 2343 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />through 2346 of the Revised Statutes (commonly known as the <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />"General Mining Law of 1872") (30 V.S.C. 2 I, 22, 23, 24, 26 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />through 30, 33 through 43, 46 through 48, 50 through 53); <br /> <br />DRAFT.
