MR. NELSON:

"As I understood it, the Commission asked
for statements. I don't recall the motion a~'
saying anything about Goslin or his staff m~king
any recommendations or comparison."

GOVERNOR JOHNSON: "About Goslin making, or his staff making,
any statement about comparison?"

MR. NELSON: "That's right. As I recall, the motion was
strictly to ask the utilities and the Bureau' to
present statements."

GOVERNOR JOHNSON: "I'll have to let you resolve that question
with Mr. Goslin because he never gave it to me
in writing but I am sure that Mr. Goslin will
tell you, as he told me just two days ago, that
on May 11th he was requested to make a study and
to try to make a comparison between the combined
system and the all-federal system.

I think Mr. Goslin will answer that ques-
tion the way I have answered it because that's
the way he told me."

MR. NELSON: "If it was, it was outside the wording of
the motion."

GOVERNOR JOHNSON: "Pardon?"

MR. NELSON:

"If it was, it was outside the wording of
the motion."

"It wasn't on the record, no."

"That's what I thought."

the meeting, however."
