At the November 23,1999 CWCB meeting, the Board considered the Grand <br />Junction Drainage District and Mesa County feasibility study application for Bosley <br />Wash. The application requested $50,000 for feasibility study and $25,000 for a <br />demonstration project. The proposed feasibility study and selected demonstration project <br />are each matched by $25,000 in local sponsor funds, <br /> <br />Following a presentation by the applicants and discussion by the Board, the Board <br />approved the following recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board request the General Assembly authorize up to <br />$75,000 from the CWCB Construction Fund to be appropriated as matching grant funds <br />with the Grand Junction Drainage District and Mesa County to complete the Bosley <br />Wash Feasibility Study in an amount of$50, 000 and demonstration project in the amount <br />of$25, 000, <br /> <br />The Board will recall that the Bosley Wash Basin experienced major flood <br />damages and area inundation in the summer of 1999, The Board staff fully <br />acknowledged and supported the applicant's request for financial assistance, <br /> <br />. <br />
