We will now go to <br />item #3 on the agenda - the San Juan-Chama and <br />Navajo Irrigation Project Legislation. We've <br />had a lot of publicity out of the papers at <br />Santa Fe and this ought to be an interesting <br />item to discuss. With that in mind, Larry, will <br />you begin this discussion?" <br /> <br />"You have in your folders a bill for the San <br />Juan-Chama and Navajo Irrigation Projects. The <br />Board will recall that at a previous meeting we <br />went over a draft containing amendments made by <br />our San Juan Basin Committee. We forwarded those <br />to New Mexico and they immediately requested a <br />meeting which was held in Santa Fe the week of <br />February 2nd. I think the meeting was quite <br />constructive and as a result of that conference <br />in Santa Fe, attended by the Governor of New <br />Mexico, Congressman Montoya and their water of- <br />ficials, tentative agreement was reached which <br />has been forwarded to the Board. Since we came <br />back, I have gone over this tentative agreement <br />in some detail. Our committee came up with some <br />revisions of the New Mexico agreement which we <br /> <br />1 <br />
