who are interested vitally, and interested
citizens. They want to keep independent of
the Legislature and this Board so they can
feel free----"

MR. -L. WILLIAMS: "This Board could go ahead, couldn't
it?"

MR. STAPLETON:: "ram sure.they will get it. Larry and
I have just been talking it over and I be-
lieve it will be of significant interest to
the members of the Legislature. Incidentally,
Senator Wilson is here now. She is one of
our regular attendants and we are delighted
to see her back."

"Just to mention also, most of these
Legislators here are members of the Water
Congress."

"Mr. Chairman may I ask one last thing.
This question - to what extent should this
report be made available to the press for
whatever use they want to make of it? Now
this occurs to me on that, since it is being
sent to the Legislators and others and as I
say, while the supporting data to support
the' conclusions are sound - I don't wiggle
a bit on that - I can see personally no
prohibition on this being given the press
for their comments or news stories in their
own writing."

"That's all right but I think the Board
should pass on it."

"That would be all right."

"Mr. Chairman,-I have a question concern-
ing Mr. Barnard's statement. I think I made
a statement at the last meeting or the meet-
ing before, that the:filling of Glen Canyon
problem is going to be something that event-
ually will end up in the Supreme Court of the
United Statesi Now, I don't know - I'll be
frank with you, I have been away and I
haven't-had the time to really go through
the report, John - but would there be any-
thing in that report that would give our
ammunition over to the enemy?"
