they already have.

Mr. Vandemoer, as spokesman for his organization,
asked that the Colorado Water Conservation Board give the
Bureau of Reclamation a go-ahead to make further studies on
this project as soon as possible. '

MR. MOSES:

"Thank you Mr. Vandemoer. Dean
Crawford, have you received any communi-
cations in opposition to the Narrows?"

MR. CRAWFORD:

"The people who opposed this back in
1952 were some of the County Commissioners.
I have written to those County 9ommis-.
sioners and requested that their views
at the present time be made public but
have received no replies."

MR. MOSES:

"I would like to call on Mr. Walter
and Mr. Knights from the Bureau.of Recla-
mation here in Denver." . .

Mr. Walter explained briefly the brochure issued by
the Bureau on the Narrows Unit in January of 1958 and said
that it was not issued for propaganda, it was sent out to get
the public reaction on this project and there was no inten-
tion to make any decision on the Narrows Unit. The Bureau
of Reclamation has waited for the State of Colorado's decision
on the project, he said, and that it would be 1961 before the
Bureau could reactivate any study of the Narrows.

MR. MOSES:

"I am very happy to call on an old
friend of mine, Millard Huey."

Mr. Millard Huey, South Platte Channel Storage Associa-
tion, Fort Morgan, Colorado, briefly introduced th~ members of
his party and spoke on their wish to have a study made on the
Narrows and other possible channel storage sites on the South
Platte.

MR. MOSES:

"Thank you very much Millard. I want
to say for the Board that we are always
pleased to have people attend these meet-
ings as they are open meetings and the
public is always welcome.
