However, to help promote the <br />equitable and competitive allocation of funds it is important to allow sufficient time for <br />applications to be submitted and reviewed. This will allow the greatest opportunity to <br />competitively compare multiple applications and allocate available funds to those water <br />activities that will provide the greatest benefit to Colorado. In preparing the application it <br />is recommended that the applicant include a description of how the water activity meets <br />the each element of the criteria that will be used to by CWCB to prioritize projects. <br /> <br />Applications can be submitted at anytime during the fiscal year beginning July 1,2006. <br />The CWCB will make recommendation for allocation of funds at their January and July <br />meetings, with the initial allocations being made at the January 2007 CWCB meeting (no <br />applications or allocations will be made in July 2006). <br /> <br />Notification of award will be made in writing within 30 days after the applicable Board <br />meeting. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />Preliminary Draft <br /> <br />July 12,2006 <br />Rev. 1 Julv 17. 2006 <br />
