" <br /> <br />"1 have one further problem for the <br />Board which just came in on the telephone. <br />The call is from Mr. F. N. Peterson of <br />Delta who says that the Fruitland Mesa <br />area is out of water for the second <br />successive year. He thinks the Water <br />Board should discuss the possibility of <br />getting some priority established which <br />might help them out." <br /> <br />Mr. Bailey asked.if any action on Mr. Peterson's <br />request was desired. <br /> <br />After discussion, Mr. Dutcher stated: <br /> <br />MR. CRAWFORD: <br /> <br />"1 would like to do something for those <br />people but I don't know what we can do. <br />We might relay the information to our <br />Representatives and Senators and tell <br />them how critical the situation is and <br />ask them if they can't exert their <br />influence to get something done. The <br />Director could write.a letter on behalf <br />of the Board." <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />''We will do that." <br /> <br />"Is there any other matter that anyone <br />wishes to bring up?" <br /> <br />"Before another meeting of the Board, <br />we will be in a position to sign up <br />another contract with the D.S.8.S. <br />covering next year. I would like <br />permission to proceed with the signing <br />of contracts.' as the D.S.8.S. funds <br />become available for the coming year." <br />
