CRAWFORD: "The Trinidad Flood Control Proj ect was <br />up for consideration by this organiza- <br />tion. That Committee analyzes projects <br />and puts them in one of four catagories. <br />The Trinidad Project was placed in the <br />second category - meritorious." <br /> <br />(e) U. S. Geological Survey Contract. <br /> <br />MR. CRAWFORD: "I have one other point to bring up. <br />I have secured from Mr. Bell an" approval <br />of a contract to expend $8,000, dating <br />-back for a couple months, and up to <br />the first of July on these projects <br />that we discussed at the last meeting. <br />I request authority of this Board to <br />execute such a contract for $8,000 <br />with U.S.G~S. Runds were allotted for <br />this purpose at our last meeting." <br /> <br />MR. DUTCHER: "I move that the Director be given that <br />authority." <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Moses and was carried <br />unanimously." <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford announced that Mr. Dille had been ill a <br />couple of weeks. He stated that Mr. Dille was feeling better <br />but would not be able to attend the meeting today. <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford then called attention to the fact that <br />the F.Y.1956 budget provided for an additional Engineer, <br />Grade 12. This, he stated, would provide salary for a man <br />who is three or four years out of school. The Director was <br />authorized to work with the Civil Service Commission in <br />procuring a suitable person for this vacancy. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Bailey introduced Mr. Boustead, President of <br />the Southeastern Colorado Water Development Association. <br />
