That :the officers and employees of
San Luis Valley Water Conservancy District be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to do all
things necessary or desirable in order to secure the
quickest possible successful completion of the project.

MR. MOSES:

"Dean Crawford had suggested earlier
that I write him concerning any
comments that we might want considered
when the State was making up its
official comments. I have written a
letter under date of June 18, which
reads as follows:"

June 18, 1955

Hon. Ivan C. Crawford, Director
Colorado Water Conservation Board
State Office Building
Denver, Colorado

Dear Dean Crawford:

I

You have indicated that you would be interested in
receiving the comments of the San Luis Valley Water
Conservancy District concerning the proposed report of
the Bureau of Reclamation on Wagon Wheel Gap Dam.

I hand you herewith a Resolution adopted by the
Board of Directors of the Conservancy District which
pretty well outlines the position of the District on
the report.

I think I should make it clear that if absolutely
necessary the District would accept the report as it
stands rather than cause any further delay of the
project. However, certain matters I feel can "be
handled without causing any unnecessary delay.

Let me take the things up one at a time as they
appear in the R~solution.
