authorized survey activities, there is
well-defined joint interest in that many of
the projects investigated will be at least
partly Federally financed and it adds
materially to our knowledge of our water
resources."

deferred because of lack of funds?"

"Mr. Holme, are you designated as proxy for
Mr. Roberts?"

"Mr. Crawford has just presented me wth a letter
which designates Peter Holme, Jr. the proxy
of Harold D. Roberts; it is as follows:

"Since I am un~ble personally
to attend the meeting of the
Colorado Water Conservation Board
called for June 25 and 26 at
Glenwood Springs, I hereby
nominate and appoint Peter Holme,
Jr., my proxy to attend and
participate in said meeting as
fully as if I were personally
present. Mr. Holme will attend the
luncheon tendered by the Granby
Chamber of Commerce; June 25, 1956."

In accordance with our past practices, if there
is no objection Mr. Holme will act in Mr.
Robert's place."

Geologbal Survey in cooperation with the
Colorado Water Conservation Board were begun
in Colorado in 1945 and have continued since
that date. The program was on a rather
meager scale for 10 years--averaging $11,250
of State funds annually matched with.an equal
