I

I

COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Summit Room, Quality-Inn-Central
Denver, Colorado

March 20, 1974

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Stapleton, Chairman, at
10:05 a.m.

Mr. Stapleton: We will call the Colorado Water Conservation Board
meeting to order. We now have a quorum. It is my pleasure to intro-
duce our newest board member, John Fetcher. John, will you stand up
and be acknowledged. He is a rancher, skier and entrepreneur from the
Steamboat Springs area. He takes Si Berthelson's place as Si retires
to Ed Johnson's old job on the upper Colorado River Compact Commission.
Si is here, and I think many of you are going to see him at noon today.
Glad to have you, Si, here with ua and we are delighted with your new
assignment.

First order is the approval .of the minutes. Let's take the meeting
minutes of October 31. 1973. These were submitted to you a few weeks
ago. Are there any additions or corrections to those minutes as sub-
mitted? Hearing none, I will entertain a motion that they be approved.

Mr. Pickrel: I so move.

Mr. Cornelius: I second it.

Mr. Stapleton: It has been so moved and seconded that they be approved
as submitted. All those in favor signify by saying "aye" - opposed,
"no." The minutes are aPProved.

Next are the minutes of December 12, 1973, which were most recently
sent to you. Any additions or corrections to these minutes? Hearing
none. it has been regularly moved and seconded that the minutes of the
December 12, 1973, meeting be approved as submitted. All those in
favor signify by saying "aye" - opposed, "no." The minutes are ordered
approved.

I don't know whether we can do it. but we are going to make an effort
to complete the.agenda items by noon. There is a luncheon, as many of
you know, in honor of Si Berthelson at noon and it would be highly
desirable to get the agenda behind us. If that isn't possible. we will
reconvene at about two o'clock. On that basis, we will call for the
status report on the Two Forks project. Larry.
