A special program of the Water <br />Law section of the Colorado Bar Association <br />will be held on October 12th at Colorado Springs <br />to discuss the work of the Committee and to <br />receive suggestions from members of the Bar. <br /> <br />Considerable time has been spent during <br />the last month on matters in connection with <br />the transmission lines from the Colorado River <br />Storage Project. We are going to try to take a whack at <br />the ground water law along with the surface <br />water law, so we'll have our hands full if we <br />get through in two years." <br /> <br />"I might add, Mr. Chairman, in that light, <br />Mr. Moses is acting as Chariman of the Water <br />Recodification group and Mr. Hamburg of our <br />staff is acting as the Secretary, so the acti- <br />vities are being coordinated out of our office. <br /> <br />As a matter of intere~on the ground water <br />problem, I recently learned that there are some <br />very ambitious plans to develop the ground <br />water of the South Platte Valley. These are <br />commercial type enterprises which will involve <br />a great amount of pUmping and the exportation <br />
