I

of this coming year. Final completion of the
dam structure will probably be.made in about
January. After the concrete is placed, the
principal item is the grouting and some other
miscellaneous work. Work will continue through
the winter months in the underground powerplant,
excavation of the stilling basin area, and place-
ment of the steel penstocks in the tunnels lead-
ing to the powerplant. The prime contractor
should essentially complete the powerplant
structure by early spring, April or May.

Moving on to our participating projects,
on the silt Project the contractor has sub-
stantially completed the embankment for Rifle
Gap Dam. Clearing work is under way and final
closure was made at Rifle Gap Dam on November
19th. The contractor is making very good
progress on second stage work for the outlet
tunnel. The contractor is expected to concen-
trate on resloping the relocated highway cuts
and repairing sections of roadway damaged by
slides. The bituminous surfacing of the highway
will be performed next spring.

One of the other principal items for the
Silt project, the silt pumping Plant, final
testing of the pumping units on this plant were
started about ten days ago. Construction work
has been finished for silt pump Canal, Dry Elk
Valley Lateral, and the Grass Valley Canal
rehabilitation. The contractor for Davie Ditch
is expected to complete earthlining operations
early in the spring.

I

On the Bostwick Park Project, another one
of the participating projects and the most recent
one to have construction work started on it,
bids, as you know, have been let on the Silver
Jack Dam, the principal storage unit of the
project. The contractor made a start this fall,
did some stripping work, some clearing work,
channelization of Cimarron Creek and other work.
It is now shut down for the year.

As to the general water supply situation,
