Proposed Change: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />TVIle and place of use: Applicant requests that the type of use of the water rights <br />described in sections 4.A. and B., above (the "Subject Water Rights") be changed <br />from irrigation purposes to irrigation, storage, recreation, fish and wildlife, <br />maintenance and preservation of wetlands, maintenance of oxbow fishery channel <br />improvements, substitution, exchange and fire protection, either directly or by <br />means of augmentation or replacement of depletions. Applicant also requests that <br />the places of use of the Subject Water Rights be changed from the existing places <br />of use to lands at other locations in the Colorado River basin. Applicant seeks a <br />quantification in acre-feet of the average annual historical conswnptive use <br />associated with the Subject Water Rights. Applicant's engineer estimates that the <br />average annual historical consumptive use associated with the 25.3 acres of hay <br />meadows historically irrigated by the Hamilton-Davidson Ditch water rights <br />sought to be changed by this application and sought to be changed by the GRC <br />Application is 33.1 acre-feet of which 30.4 acre-feet are claimed by applicant. <br />Applicant's engineer estimates that the average annual historical consUl1lptive use <br />associated with the 49.5 acres of hay meadows historically irrigated by the Sarah <br />Ditch water. rights sought to be changed by this application and sought to be <br />changed by the GRC Application is 64.8 acre-feet of which 59.5 acre-feet are <br />claimed by applicant. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />B. New place of storal!e: Applicant proposes that the subject Hamilton-Davidson <br />Ditch water rights be changed to allow storage at the following new points of <br />storage for the chariged uses described in the preceding paragraph: <br /> <br />(1) Mt. Powell Ranch Pond: described in section 3.A., above, by means of the <br />Hamilton-Davidson Ditch described in section 4.A., above. <br /> <br />(2) Additional storage structure(s) to be constructed by applicant in the <br />drainages of Slate Creek, Hay Camp Creek or Squaw Creek in Sections 13 <br />or 14, Township 3 South, Range 79 West of the 6th P.M. to be filled by <br />means oCthe Hamilton-Davidson Ditch described in section 4.A., above. <br /> <br />PLAN FOR AUGMENTATION INCLUDING APPROPRIATIVE RIGHTS OF <br />EXCHANGE <br /> <br />7.
