STAPLETON:

The study above John Martin is scheduled
for completion-this year and the study from
John Martin to Great Bend is tentatively
scheduled for completion next year, provided
sufficient funds are appropriated in the
budget.

I have nothing to add to the written
report on the preconstruct ion planning on
pages 2 and 3. At the present
rate of drawdo~m in response to irrigation
calls, John Martin Reservoir will unhappily
be empty by the middle of June. t'lith this
gloomy forecast I close my report."

"Thank you, Colonel.
