I

I

pilot study for analysis of chemical quality
data for other projects and for the statewide
network of wells. We particularly have plans
for making a chemical-quality of water model
in one area here in the state so that we can
forecast what the effect of water quality will
be from any change in management or any normal
change.

Conductivity data were obtained at all of
the inflow and outflow measuring points during
the seepage run on the South Platte River.
These data were used to compute a salt balance
for the stream system for that particular point
in time. We hope to present this in some form
to the Board at a later meeting.

A report, 'Water Resources Data for Colo-
rado, Part 2, Water Quality Records, 1965',
was released early in April. Copies may be
obtained by contacting the Colorado District
Office in Denver. As I mentioned befor~ the
streamflow records for 1966 will be going to
the printer in June and we hope to have them
ready in late July or early August.

That completes my report, Mr. Chairman.
Thank you."

!-JR. STAPLETON:

"Thank you, Ted. Some of the members of
the Board called to my attention that that is
'Closed Basin' and not 'Cloud Basin' ."

NR. MOULDER:

"I'm sorry, that was our mistake."

NR. STAPLETON:

"Are there any questions from members of
the Board?"

NR. CORNELIUS:

"Mr. Chairman, I'd like to ask Ted a
question about the Closed Basin project. I
understand, from the preliminary studies that
were made, that the U. S. Bureau of Reclama-
tion estimates on the amount of water that
might be able to be salvaged there were a
little on the generous side. We have until
the 16th of October to do something about this
