<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Proiects Under Construction <br /> <br />Excelsior Irrigating Companv - Excelsior Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Arkansas River <br />Terms of Loan: $230,000 @ 3.75% for 30 yrs <br /> <br />County: Pueblo - E of Pueblo <br />Project Yield: 4,250 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This $335,000 project is the re-construction of approximately 2 miles of open ditch, which <br />has previously been abandoned and fanned over. Also included in the project is the construction of <br />several pump stations for water delivery. The project is located in Pueblo County 10 miles east of <br />Pueblo. Project design was prepared by the Pueblo Office of the Natural Resource Conservation <br />Service, Ralph Adkins, P.E. of Pueblo, Irrigl1tion Engineering of Alamosa and Hendrooke <br />Sprinklers of Ft. Collins. Project construction commenced by the owner and several sub- <br />contractors in May 1998 with project completion scheduled for fa111999. <br /> <br />Pinon Mesa Ranches Community Association - Rural Raw Water Svstem Constructiol1 <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Florida River <br />Terms of Loan: $258,000 @ 3.75% for 30 yrs <br /> <br />County: La Plata - W ofIgnacio <br />Project Yield: 125 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Diversion and Dist. System <br /> <br />This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distribution <br />system in La Plata County west of Ignacio. The project consists of construction of a concrete <br />diversion structure and pump station at the Florida River, a transmission pipeline from the diversion <br />to a storage impoundment, and construction of llpproximately 9,000 feet of distribution pipeline <br />from the storage impoundment to the water users. RMI Environmental Services of Fannington, <br />New Mexico prepared the project design. Project construction commenced September 2, 1997 by <br />RMI Environmental Services of Fannington, New Mexico (a designlbuild contractor). The project <br />is currently 70% complete and continues to be on indefinite hold due to and financial problems. <br /> <br />Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Companv - Surmnit Reservoir and Ditch Svstem Rehab. <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $200,000 @ 3.75% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Project Yield: 4,287 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the <br />construction of repairs and improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water <br />collection and distribution facilities. The Cortez office of the Natural Resource Conservation <br />Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. Construction commenced in March by <br />Noland, Inc. of Mancos, CO. and is currently 75% complete. Construction is scheduled for <br />completion in the fa111999. <br />
