The Leroux Creek Water Users Association has contracted Smith <br />Geotechnical Engineering Consultants of Forth ColIins to analyze design alternatives and complete construction plans <br />and specifications. Construction is scheduled for the falI of 1999. <br /> <br />. Wood Lake Mutual Water & Irrieation Comoanv - Wood Lake Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 County: Weld - W of Eaton <br />Water Source: Cache la Poudre River Project Yield: 3,106 ac.ft. <br />Tenns ofLoan: $188,OOO@3.75%for30years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br />This project is the replacement of the W 00<1 Lake Dam outlet works including all control structures, instalIation of a toe <br />drain, raising the existing saddle dam, and construction of a spillway to pass the 50% Probable Maximum Precipitation <br />flood. The need for the inlprovements is a result of the State Engineer's Office dam safety requirements. Smith <br />Geotechnica~ Inc. of Fort Collins commenced design in late spring 1998. Boyle Engineering, Inc. ofDenyer has been contracted to complete the project <br />design, which is scheduled for construction forthe falI of 1999. . <br /> <br />. Hil!hland Ditch Comoany - Foothills Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation. <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1198 - Severance Tax County: Boulder - W ofLongmont <br />Water Source: St. Vrain River Project Yield: 450 ac.ft. <br />Tenns ofLoan: $1,040,000 @4.0% for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br />This project is the rehabilitation ofFoothilIs Reservoir dam, located west ofLongmont in Boulder County. The dam has <br />an inadequate spillway and severe seepage through the embankment and has had a storage restriction placed on it by the <br />State Engineer. The Highland Ditch Company has contracted with Smith Geotechnical Engineering Consultants of Fort <br />ColIins to analyze design alternatives and complete construction plans and specifications. Construction is scheduled to <br />commence in the falI of 1999. <br /> <br />. Boulder & Left-hand Irrieation Comoany - Twin Lakes Outlet Imoroyements <br /> <br />Authorization: 1998 Small Project Loan Account County: Boulder - NE of Boulder <br />Water Source: Boulder Creek Project Yield: 218 ac.ft. <br />Tenns of Loan: $50,OOO@3.75% for 15 years Project Type: Dam Outlet Improvements <br />This project is the reconstruction of the Boulder & Lefthand Irrigation Company reservoir's (Twin Lakes) outlet and <br />inlet structures. Recent State Engineer Office inspections indicate that the outlet conduit has rusted through and is <br />functionally obsolete. Rocky Mountain Consultants ofLongmont are currently preparing the improyernent design with <br />construction scheduled for late 1999. <br /> <br />. Palisade.
