MR. TEN EYCK:

"Mr. Chairman, I have just received from
our budget office, the interdepartment budget
office, an analysis of the Governor's budget
recommendations which are presumably being
incorporated in bill form and which have not
been furnished us officially in the various
departments yet. It appears that Larry's
information is quite correct. The Governor's
budget contemplated, I think the reductions
they suggested were on the order of one or
two thousand dollars, a very minor impact.
In the hearings before the Governor's budget
staff there was no indication of any opposi-
tion or any question about any of the requests
made by the Water Conservation Board.

I

I can say the same with regard to the
hearings before the Joint Budget Committee
in consideration of the Water Conservation
Board budget. I saw no significant opposi-
tion and I don't anticipate any significant
difficulty with this budget. I just don't
feel there is going to be any significant
problem with the budget."

MR. STAPLETON:

"Thank you, Tom.

Do we have to do anything with this
budget at this meeting? Should it be approved
by the Board?"

MR. SPARKS:

IIYes.1I

MR. STAPLETON:

"All
that the

right.
budget,

I'll entertain a motion
be approved."

MR. KROEGER: "Mr. Chairman, I'd like to move that the
budget be approved and express my better
feeling toward the budget this year than the
things that happened to us last year."

MR. BERTHELSON: "As of this date!"

I

MR. R.B. WILLIAMS: "I'll second the motion."
