This item is a review and request for approval of the Scope of Work, schedule, and general
project administration of the Statewide Water Supply Investigation (SWSI) and the Colorado River
Return Project (CRRP).

Backaround

Staff presented the Scope of Work for a Statewide Water Supply Investigation (SWSI) at the
July 2002 Board meeting. The Board directed staff to review the Scope of Work with a Committee
of Board members composed of Eric Wilkinson, Harold Miskel, and Greg Hoskin. Staff was also
directed to prepare a Scope of Work for an additional special project entitled the Colorado River
Return Project (CRRP). The Committee reviewed the CRRP scope on August 27. The Committee
will review the revised SWSI scope on September 6. The work scopes (attached) included in this
memo are of the revised CRRP and the original SWSI. Time constraints did not allow for the SWSI
revised scope to be included in the Board mailing. The Committee and staff will present the revised
SWSI scope at the Board meeting.
