The total requested amount is approximately $380,000, while this
year's spending authority is only $84,000. The Colorado Department of Revenue aunounced that the
CWSPF has received $96,800 as of June 30, 2004, which assures spending of up to $84,000. The
remaining $12,800 may have to be carried to the following year because the Joint Budget Committee
included language in the Long Bill that attempts to limit our statutory spending authority.

The following table summarizes the applications received in 2004; they are listed in alphabetical order
of the organizations requesting the grants.

Applicant Project Title Type of Project Funds
Requested
Boulder Flycasters South Boulder Creek Home Creek Project Symposium to increase $25,000
mininmm water flows
Center for Watershed Watershed Restoration Institute Training oflocal watershed $10,000
Protection manal1:ers
Coalition for the Upper Non-federal matching funds Forest restoration $15,000
South Platte
Colorado Acequia Culebra Watershed Resturation Plan - Design and construction $20,000
Association Watershed Monitoring Implementation supervision of sediment
phAse ~~_.........1_
....V..lI.UU..l:.
Colorado Big Country Stream Health Initiative: Stream and Maps and GIS-based website $20,000
RC&D Riparian Physical Habitat Assessment for
the Roarin2 Fork Watershed
Kiowa Conservation Kiowa Creek Watershed Dam Repair Dam repair $30,000
District
North Fork River Paonia River Park Project River restoration, $50,000
Improvement reconstruction of diversion
Association structure, creation of !lark
The Rocky Mountain Pikes Peak Fund Planning Project Plan $12,500
Field Institute
Routt County Upper Yampa River Basin Implementation Plan $17,500
Conservation District Plan
San Juan RC&D Pine River Watershed Group Coordination Plan $24,300
and Hydrologic Unit Plan
San Juan RC&D Priority Mine Site Waste Remediation Treatment of mine waste sites $29,965
San Luis Valley Water Rio Grande Watershed Resturation Plan $25,000
Conservancy District Strategic Plan
The San Miguel San Miguel River Restoration Project - Reconstruction and restoration $50,000
Watershed Coalition CCC Ditch Diversion Site of ditch diversion structure
Willow Creek Windy Gulch Improvement Project Flood control and stream $50,000
Reclamation Committee stabilization
14 applications $379,265

We have submitted one copy of each application packet to the Water Quality Control Division and one
copy to Colorado Watershed Assembly for individual review and evaluation of each proposal.
