BASIN

6,626.1

From the foregoing table it is apparent, with respect to the Up-
per Basin, that the oombined existing depletions and allowances for pro-
jects now authorized or under oonstruction will amount to about 2,620,000
aore feet annually, which is about one-third (35 percent) of the '7,500,000
acre feet heretofore apportioned to the Upper Basin by Art. III (a) of the
Colorado River Compact; and that other and additional projeots with aggre-
gate depleti ons of 4,880,000 acre i'eet annually may be oonstructed in the
Upper Basin without thereby oausing the total depletions to' exceed
7,500,000 acre feet. However, with respeot to the Lowe,r Basin, the exit-
ing depletions together with the allowanoes of the Report for future ex-
pansion of existing irrigation will exoeed the 8.500,000 aore feet here-
tofore apportioned to the LOl'lSr Basin by Art.
