comparison can be made, a study would be
necessary with respect to the amounts of new
water which will be available to the South
Platte River under conditions of development
of imported water sources by the City of Denver.

Consequently, this work was undertaken by
W. W. Wheele" representative of the Denver
Water Board in engineering matters on the
committee. It has taken considerable time and
has recently been completed. It can now be
integrated with the previously prepared studies
of exchange possibilities based on present con-
ditions of stream flow.

After this is accomplished, it will be
possible to present the results to the committee
and it is hoped that the questions concerning
this particular and important factor in site
selection may be answered. Meanwhile, the
Bureau of Reclamation has been proceeding with
other phases of its report.'

That's the end of the report from the
Steering Committee by Mr. Gildersleeve. In
the Bureau of Reclamation report from Region
7 there will be some more reference to this
matter."

Mr. Miller,

"I think there is a great deal of interest,
as you can expect, in the South Platte and
there have been meetings, formally and inform-
ally - I should say informally, primarily - at
various places. There is this tremendous amount
of interest. I personally hope the report can be
made to the Steering Committee at an early date."

"I'm going to alter the agenda slightly,
with your approval, and ask for a report on the
1962 Session of Congress. I'll ask first, Mr.
Kuiper to report on the Fryingpan-Arkansas
Project."
