In the presentation the <br />City presented a project overview, flood damages from the 1983 and 1999 flood events, goals and objectives of <br />the project, project planning approach and the players, needs for the project, and community benefits for the <br />project. At the conclusion of the presentation, the City made a formal request for technical and fmancial <br />assistance in the interest for the development of a viable floodplain project. The CWCB fimds will assist the City <br />in their fulfillment of the non-federal cost share for a Corps of Engineers project feasibility study. The Corps <br />study activities will consider flood damage reduction, envirornnental restoration, recreation, water quality <br />,improvements, wise use of floodplain lands, and other associated envirornnent enhancements and protections in <br />the Cache la Poudre River Watershed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />C.__:.=-~j <br />Corps authorized flood projects require a thirty-five (35) per cent non-federal cost share consideration. <br /> <br />The preliminary cost estimates for the Greeley project is at $11,500,000. . <br /> <br /> <br />Greeley <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
