Also, it was decided that Mr. Crawford should <br />inform Mr. Larson that, while the Board concurs in the <br />program as outlined in his letter, there are a few we want <br />to hurry up; such as, Fruitland Mesa, Dallas Creek, <br />Troublesome, and Grand Mesa. <br /> <br />Considerable dis~u~sion'followed. <br /> <br />At this point Mr. Chilson returned to the meeting and <br />presented a draft of Re,solution to the Board. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The resolution, as amended, is as follows: <br />Be 'it .Resolved that the Colorado Water Conservation <br />, , <br />Board most respectfully requests the Congress of ~he <br />Unitad States to allocate all the power profits of Glen Canyon <br />and other storage projects in the Upper Colorado River Basin <br />as credits to provide irrigation assistance in the repayment <br />of that part of ~he construction costs of participating <br />projects or any separate features thereof, in each of' the <br />four States of Utah, Wyoming,. New Mexico and Colorado, which <br />are beyond the ability of the water users in these States to <br />repay. <br /> <br />Be It Further Resolved that these credits, to provide <br />irrigation assistance, should be apportioned among the States; <br />that the apportionment adopted by the Upper Colorado River <br />Commission at Santa Fe, New Mexico, on January 5, 1956, is <br />fair and equitable and is hereby approved; that said appor- <br />tionment is as follows: <br /> <br />To the State of Colorado <br />To the State orUtah <br />To the State of Wyoming <br />To the State of New Mexico <br /> <br />46'l~ thereof <br />2L5"10 thereof <br />15.5"10 thereof <br />1710 thereof <br /> <br />Be It Further Resolved that. the development of the State <br />of Colorado's share of the water of the Colorado River requires I <br />that such apportionment be included in any legislation enacted <br />by Congress for the development of the Upper Colorado River <br />Ba'in, and fu,the, that ,uoh . p,ovi,ion in any 'uoh 'eg",.tion .. <br />is absolutely necessary to make such legislation for the develop- <br />ment of the Upper Colorado River Basin acceptable to the State <br />of Colorado. <br />
