Our present plan of
development for a strictly irrigation use is being
reviewed to determine if a more economical plan or
scale of development can be found than the present
plan which has a 0.9 to 1 benefit cost ratio;" Further
studies are contemplated for this year.'to cover a range
of possible developments to supply domestic water for
an urban area connected with anticipated oil shale
developments. Industrial water demands for the oil
shale development can be obtained from the potential
De Beque Reservoir and may not be considered in con-
nection with the West Divide Studies. A reconnaissance
report scheduled for completion in June 1956 will
provide the basis for determining the future investiga-
tion program for this project. '

Bostwick Park Pro~ect. In anticipation of
adequate local support we ave schedu~dinitiation of
detailed investigations of this project to begin in
FY 1957. This is a comparatively small project close
to the Fruitland Mesa area where we are now working.
The stream gage at the dam site has been in operation
for two years which should enable us to go forward at
once with investigation for completion of a feasibility
report in FY 1958. This investigation can go forward
while streamflow records "are being obtained for Dallas
Creek and other projects. -

Ohio Creek Project. In anticipation of ._
adequate local support we have scheduled initiation of
detailed investigations of this project to begin in
FY 1957. The completion of.the feasibility report is
scheduled for FY 1959. Adequate stream~runoff records
are available so no delays should result from this
requirement.

I
