Petition - Lions Club of Crawford, Colorado <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford stated that he had received a petition and <br />supplemental statement from the Lions Club in Crawford, Colo- <br />rado. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford explained to the Board that the Fruitland <br />Mesa Project is in the bill as a contingent project. Mr. <br />Peterson then stressed to the Board the importance of this <br />project to the people in that area and told of the hardships <br />caused by lack of water in this area. <br /> <br />Considerable discussion followed. <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford read to the Board a report on the Fruitland <br />Mesa Project which he had received recently from Mr. Larson. <br /> <br />Fruitland Mesa Project. Field work on the detailed land <br />classification is approximately 65% complete. Field work <br />was suspended in mid-November due to snow conditions and <br />will not be resumed until April or May. Three drill holes <br />
