Call to Order

2:00 p.m.

A special meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board was held at the Ramada Inn
. Hotel in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, to discuss the Snowmass Modification Issues. The
meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 1996, by Vice Chairperson
Eric Kuhn. Nine voting members were present so there was a quorum (at least six
required). Voting Board members present were Eric Kuhn, Patricia Wells, Alan Hamel,
Janice Sheftel, David Smith, Ray Werner, Allen Davey, David Meyring, and Jim
Lochhead. Ex-officio members present were Jennifer Gimbel from the Attorney General's
Office, Hal Simpson from the State Engineer's Office, Grady McNeil from the Division
of Wildlife, and Chuck Lile of the Water Conservation Board.2

Approval of Agenda and Procedures for the Meeting

Action: The order of the agenda and the procedures established at the time of the
preliminary review of the proposed modification (written copy located in
official record) were approved.

Discussion of Staff Presentation

Action: Dan Merriman presented the Final Staff Recommendation (written copy in
official record) to the Board.
