After considerable additional discussion, Mr. Robbins called

motion was declared defeated.

Mr. MacFarlane th~n moved, seconded by Mr. RObbins, that

the Board adopt a project selection policy as printed in

Appendix Q to these minutes. After some additional

discussions, Mr. Johnston moved, seconded by Mr. Furneaux,

that the motion be tabled until the next regularly scheduled

Board meeting. The motion was declared defeated on a voice

vote. At the suggestion of Mr. Robbins, Mr. Kroeger recessed

the Board for 15 minutes.

Upon reconvening, there was further brief discussion

about the transmoutain diversion issue, at the close of which

Mr. MacFarlane called for the question. The motion passed on

an unanimous voIce vote. Mr McDonald was instructed by

the Board to send the newly adopted policy statement to the

legislative leadership and to all applicants who had requests

for feasibility studies before the Board.

Mr. McDonald then turned to Agenda Item No.4,
concerning legislation pending before the General Assembly.

He reported briefly on S.B. 439, S.B. 19, S.B. 414, H.B. 503,

H.B. 1119, H.B. 1141, H.B. 1498, H.B. 1357, and H.B. 1589.
