This action was <br />recommended because of a number of Board and staff concerns/issues related to the request. The <br />Board staff has met with CDOT and a mutually llgreeable solution has been fonnulated to fully <br />address these concerns/issues. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> <br />The CWCB concerns/issues are: <br /> <br />I. Bike/Trail Relocation and Construction - The bike/trail system access will be continual to the <br />north across Prince Street through a stoplight, curb cuts, and paint stripe design. The CWCB <br />staff has a safety concern regarding the pedestrian crossings for the frontage road. <br /> <br />Solution: CDOT has agreed to work with the CWCB staff and South Suburban Park and <br />Recreation District (District) to ensure that a safely identified bike/trail system is continued to <br />the north for the right-bank trail system. <br /> <br />2. Flood elevation within the 10'xlO' box culvert - The project design has reduced the drainage <br />area of the stream at the discharge outfall point. CDOT will provide the CWCB with the <br />depth of water that is expected within the bo)( culvert. <br />
