<br />FPR 193 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial 8uilding <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />A'~qust 16, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Stu1y, Town of <br />Del lIlorte, Rio Grande County, Colorado," which inclunes <br />floodplain infor'Tlation and data for a portion of the Rio Grande, <br />d~ted, ~arch 30, 198?, has been prepared by Camp Dresser & <br />:1cKee, Inc.. 'mder contract with the Federal "llergency Management <br />Agency; and <br /> <br />\'If'!BREAS, said rep,:n:-t de,scribes ann outlines t'1,e floo,iplain <br />nata and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area. For that portion of the Eagle River <br />within the current corporate limits of the Town of Gypsum below <br />the U.S. ~ighway 6 bridge only; and <br /> <br />WHBREAS, the Town of Del Norte has requested the Colorado <br />,-later Conservation Boarn to ,iesignate and approve the floodplain <br />areas as set forth in the aforesain report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106( l}, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provine that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />\~HEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c}, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such design3tions available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br />
