<br />FPR 192 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />August 16, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City <br />District, has previously completed a report entitled "Flood Plain <br />Informat ion, North Fork Republ ican River, Wray, Colorado," dated <br />,June, 1969, which contains the existing floodplain information on <br />a portion of the North Fork of the Republican River; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the Town Council of wray, Colorado, by Resolution Number 6, <br />adopted January 14, 1970, approved and designated the floodplain <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Plain Information <br />Report, North Fork Republican River, Town of Wray and Yuma <br />County, Colorado," dated November, 1981, has been prepared by the <br />U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sain new report describes and <br />floodplain data and information for the storm <br />runoff channels or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />outli nes the <br />and floodwater <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Wray and the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Yuma County have requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the November, 1981, Corps report; ann <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requir.es <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legiSlative bodies of local <br />jurisnictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br />
