On page 7 in the second paragraph,
the next to the last sentence in the
eighth line which ends with the words
'prior to the election' - the members
of the committee recommended that my
draft be amended as follows:

Change the period to a comma and
add the words 'but if no such news-
paper be published in the affected
area, then in the legal newspaper
found by the board to afford notice
to the largest number of persons in
the affected area'.n

8, second paragraph 'commission' should
be 'Water board'.n

MR. BARNARD:

"Yes.

On page 9, fourth line, filing fee
of $2.00 - the committee recommends
that it be ~10.00.

On page 10, one member of the com-
mittee, Mr. Sparks, said he felt the
last sentence in Section 8, starting
with the words 'Nothing herein shall
be construed - - ' should be stricken
and I agree with him. We felt it is
unnecessary and that language was
stricken.

In Section 9 at the end of the
first sentence, it was recommended
that the period be changed to a comma
and these words added: 'nor shall any-
thing in this act be so construed'.

In Section 10, again Mr. Sparks,
and I agree with him, felt that some
limitation should be clearly set out
in regard to domestic and stock water-
ing wells so he suggested the inser-
tion of this language, after the word
'Wells': 'having a production capacity
of 100 gallons per minute or less,
measured over a 12 hour period'.n
