I HR. CRAWFORD:
HR. KELLY:
MR. STAPLETON:
MR. MOSES:

645

You have all been furnished copies
of the Minutes of the January 17th Meet-
ing. I will entertain a motion to approve
those Minutes as presented."

"I have had no comments come into
the office on those Hinutes."

"I move the Hinutes be approved."

"Second the motion."

"It has been moved and seconded the
Minutes of the last meeting be approved.
All those in favor signify by saying 'aye';
opposed the same."

Upon vote, the motion was unanimously passed.

MR. MOSES:

. l'!R. BARNARD:

I

"Now, gentlemen, the primary purpose
of this meeting is to see if we can agree
on our position with reference to an under-
ground water bill. I think, as a prelim-
inary, we should not attempt to dot 'i's'
and cross 't's' in proposed legislation.
I think if we can agree on the things we
want or think necessary, or if we feel
something is no good at all and will not
serve our purpose, then we will be making
progress.

I appointed a committee at the last
meeting to work on proposed legislation.
Does that committee have a Chairman? I
will call on Hr. Barnard at this time."

'~ou have, each of you, in your
folder, two pieces of legislation which
I will refer to as our amendments to the
Rogers Bill and the other as the Gill Bill
which was introduced yesterday. This is
a new bill prepared by Mr. Sabin for
Senator Gill. The committee attempted
to carry out the terms of the resolution
which was adopted at the last meeting of
this Board which provided that the legis-
lation presently before the Legislature,
should be examined to see which would
fit the present requirements.
