bOb

MR. BARNARD:

"I move that the committee in
making its recommendations carry out
the sense of Mr. Moses' suggestion
relative to the initiation of the
organization of a district."

MR. CRAWFORD:
.

"Second the motion."

I

MR. r'lOSES:

"It has been moved and seconded that
the committee carry out my suggestion
relative to the initiation of the organ-
ization of a district. Do you want to
discuss this further or are you ready
for the question?"

MR. l'lHITTEN:

"Question."

Upon vote, the motion passed unanimously..

There was continued discussion regarding the
changing of the date to January 1, 1959, as to whether the
State Engineer's office would be able to process all these
statements of claim within that time or to give the land-
owners more time. It was agreed they wouldn't all have to
be processed in that time but they would be received. A
question on the requirement that a certified or registered
engineer or surveyor had to prepare these statements of .
claim was also discussed.

MR. MOSES:

"If it appears by January 1, 1959,
that people are running into difficulty
to get engineers or surveyors to file
their claims in time, we could get this
time limit extended."

MR. WHITTEN:

"There already have been filed sev-
eral thousand wells. If we are going to
continue our filing system on statements
of claim, I feel it would definitely be
an advantage to the Stat~ to have them
come under the rules and regulations ,
that have been used. I would like to
call your attention to Sub-paragraph (e)
of Section 3, on page 4, which provides
for the requirements in filing these
claims." '

I

Discussion was held on this subject and what pro-
visions had been made for those who have already filed.
