<br />- 6 - <br /> <br />Flood Protection Section - Flood and Drought Outlook Presentation <br />Tape 3, Track 1 31 :00 - 1 :20:00 <br />Action: Information item; no formal action taken, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Flood Protection Section - Special Contract Provisions for Montezuma County <br />Tape 3, Track 1 1 :20:00 - 1 :26:00 <br />Action: A motion was made by Don Schwindt with a second by Carolyn McIntosh to <br />approve the staff recommendation to add the following provisions to the <br />contract between the CWCB .and Montezuma County prior to proceeding with <br />this proj ect: <br />1) Future development in the Dolores River Valley near the floodplain <br />will require a floodplain review, following the minimum NFIP <br />standards, and will require the issuance of a floodplain development <br />permit. <br />For the interim perio<;l, until the new floodplain study is prepared, <br />Montezuma County will use the existing Flood Insurance Study and <br />the USACE study for floodplain development, floodplain review, and <br />the issuance of floodplain development permits, <br />Montezuma County will cost share in the floodplain mapfing <br />component of this study with $20,000 in cash ahd in-kiI~services and <br />the CWCB will c0111lJ1it $50,000 to this project. <br />Montezuma County will meet the minimum NFIP requirements and <br />will maintain eligibility in the NFIP. <br />Montezuma County shall use mapping specifications for this project <br />under guidance from the CWCB, FEMA and USACE" <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />The motion was approved 9-0, Greg Walcher was not present. <br /> <br />20.
