August 26. 1988. Board Meeting-- <br />HJR 1001 Water POlicy Study <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />House Joint Resolution No. 1001. First Extraordinary <br />Session of the Fifty-Sixth General Assembly. states in relevant <br />part: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />That the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />and eight legislators appointed as set <br />forth below are directed to study to the <br />extent they determine necessary the state's <br />current drought preparedness. water <br />policies. and statutes and report to the <br />General Assembly by January 15. 1989. its <br />[sic] findings and suggestions for changing <br />laws relating to the state's water <br />resources. Such study shall be directed to <br />the issues raised at the July 14 water <br />forum held in the old Supreme Court <br />chambers and the fOllowing issues:..... <br />The study need not comment on each issue. <br />The...Board and the eight legislators may <br />consult. as may be required. with the <br />Governor's office. with the Department of <br />Natural Resources. and the Department of <br />Health during the course of the study. <br />This study shall not require addition of <br />staff to any agency or any additional <br />appropriation to any agency. <br /> <br />The July 14 water forum refers to the public forum on state <br />water policy called and hosted by Representative Chris <br />Paulson. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />7972[,; <br />
